Introducing "Baby"

This weekend we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary with a lovely grownup meal at Citron in Oakland. My how much things have changed in those years and how grateful we are each day.



We brought Ava back this little stroller upon our return. She has become very attached to this little friend you see her pushing around. "Baby" is toted around the house by his tag or clutched around his neck. She'll forget about him and then desperately want him back. It's funny, Ava has never been comforted by an object like this or ever wanted such a lovey until now. She's been pushing him around the house in a meager loop with frustrating steps and furnature. So we let her take Baby out in his stroller to the baseball field a few blocks away to really open it up and see what it would do. She's such s doting little Mommy as far as 17 month olds go. She walks with such determination and purpose when taking care of her charge. Then she stops, fiddles with a rock, points to a dog or gives out a big wave and off we go again.





On a sad note, baby has gone missing. He fell victim while on a walk for a latte. Thankfully there is the not as charming baby-sub that's doing the job AND Amazon who delivers. We'll get twins this time - lesson learned.
