It's hard to believe that Ava Jane is now a 2-years-old, what a big girl. How the time has flown by. She is really such an amazing girl and we couldn't be any luckier to have her in our life. Every day she grows and the world widens bringing so many new experiences. We love everything about her (although you'll still hear complaints in the sleep department) and the joy she brings to us each day. It's truly refreshing to see the world through her eyes and her voice. We love you Munchkin.
Last weekend was her party and we celebrated with about 30 friends in the backyard on a glorious Spring day.
Cupcakes all around. Blowing out the candles is going to take years of practice.
I think all the parents are congregating around the bagels and mimosas in this shot. But the bubble machine was quite a hit.

Of course she got to play with her grown-up friends too. They're just as special.
Best of all Nanny Jane flew down for Ava's party and a nice long weekend visit with one another. They had a great time reading books, heading to the beach and listening to music at Jazz on Fourth. Ava couldn't stop saying "Come on Nanny Jane... Nanny Jane hold Ava... Go see Nanny Jane..." What a lucky girl to get to spend her birthday with her grandma.

...quickly turned in to this as we wound down the afternoon. What an excellent way to end the party, that and a 2 hour nap.
