Ava is getting really good at telling stories. This is her story telling face. It gets all scrunched up and very matter of fact. We LOVE hearing her accounts of the day as we sit around the kitchen cooking dinner. Here are some recent comments:
Share waffles with Pablo? Daddy likes waffles too.
Sit with me, right here.
Please may I have one, oval.
Come on Daddy, fix my pants.
Bye-bye Ava. I be back soon-soon, on Wednesday.
Watch this, cool.
I have a little hang-nail.
Good times.
He has a beard on the face. (Yes, Grandpa, this was about you!)
Everyone likes pie.
How 'bout this one book?
Come on Mommy, play choo-choo train.
I see a big boogie in there, I get it.
Launch it, kitty.
You make me happy.
I do it all by self.
He's crying, he's sad, he has an ouch.
I'm strong girl.
Be brave Ava.
Ava is also getting really adamant about what she wears. Here she is modeling one of her current favorite outfits. She refuses to take off these hand-me-down monster truck PJs and insists on wearing them everywhere. I can get her to release the matching pants very reluctantly. As you see here she has paired the truck shirt with bootcut jeans that are too big for her and hot pink cowgirl boots.
