Beach Day

Ava and Mommy have been sick this week and the kiddo has a new bout of molars to reluctantly contend with. So we took the day off to be “adventure girls” and headed to the ocean. It couldn't have been more perfect weather despite our typical foggy summers here in northern CA. Ava loves the beach but this was definitely the biggest expanse of sandy goodness that she had ever seen. We chased the waves, drew in the sand, examined seaweed (“ocean pasta”), played with the outdoor showers, chased seagulls, and ate grilled cheese sandwiches and French fries… Ava was very impressed by the scene and so pleased with her day; we both felt a whole lot better.
