Ava's Friends

I don't think I've even mentioned how much Ava loves her big kid neighbors, Jamie, Charlotte and Eddie. We all live on the same side of the street in 3 consecutive houses and the idea of putting doors or even tunnels between our backyard fences has come up a few times. But this summer Ava has really been big enough to roll with the big kids and she just beams with delight whenever she can join in. It's great for the kids and parents alike.

The other day we made a giant pile of water balloons (the most brilliant use of $1 I can imagine) and sent Ava over to collect the other kids in her swimsuit. Can you guess how long it took for them to come over? Once the fun was over (and Erik was drenched) they drew all over the deck until almost every inch was full. As Ava would say, "good times".
