Christmas Time

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We had a quiet time at home just the three of us. We stretched the holiday out and visited with neighbors, went hiking and did some baking. Ava thoroughly enjoyed herself and the generous gifts under the tree. She kept exclaiming, "I love Christmas, I have so much happiness". She is a busy girl, dressing and undressing her new dolls, figuring out new games and reading new books.

I think she's a little disappointed that Christmas is over and the decorations will soon come down. She has had us on a tight schedule turning the Christmas lights on and off. She still doesn't seem to understand why it doesn't snow at our house for Christmas when it's in all of her books. Such a big holiday for a little kid - we're ready to slow the pace back down.
