Birthday Pottery

On Ava's "real" birthday Grandma, Grandpa and I took her to a pottery painting studio, something I've always wanted to do with her. We picked out a little dish set for her to paint. The wall of fragile pottery was very tempting for this 3-year-old but she did great. She washed her pots, picked out glaze colors and brushes and got to work. 3D objects were new thing for her but she happily tried it out.

Ava was very curious to watch the tiny babies in the studio with us get their itty-bitty feet stamped with glaze and pressed onto frames. She noted which ones were crying and which ones weren't. Just you wait little one...

We'll pick up the fired pieces next week and use them for years to come. Very cool.

A special thanks to Grandma & Grandpa who were up for a week of birthday celebrations. Ava had a blast!!
