Fashionably late, Hazel June Nelson joined our family in the wee hours of July 5th. On the evening of the 4th Mommy's water broke with no warning. We put Ava to bed and went out for a walk during early labor with all the fireworks booming and the sky lit up. Our doula came over late that night and after just a few hours we raced to the hospital and our baby was born 45 minutes later - a completely different experience from Ava's birth. We're all doing well just getting settled and getting to know one another. Here are a few photos of the last 2 days and we'll keep on posting!

Ava is over the moon with excitement that Baby Apple is finally here, really that's an understatement. She's so proud to officially be a big sister. She's full of hugs and tickles for Hazel.
