4th Birthday Bash
This weekend we celebrated Miss Ava Jane's 4th Birthday on a most perfect Spring day. We had a big day with a gaggle of her friends both big and little out to party.
We surprised Ava with a bouncy house in the yard. The man came to set it up and she was just silent with awe and anticipation. When it came down she wanted to know why we couldn't buy one to keep up in the backyard all the time.
It's very important for grown-ups to have fun at parties too, even if it is just laughing at kids.
Hazel had a great time just soaking in all the big kids being crazy. She got to hang out with our wonderful neighbor Carole and many other grown-up while Mommy & Daddy attended to guests and bonked heads.
Man is this one mellow. Can't wait to see her go crazy with excitement at her own party a few years from now.
I just love watching a herd of kids swarm around cupcakes. They can sense sugar a mile away. Ava was particular about just one thing for her party and that was chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting. Ah, she is her mother's daughter don't you think? And the look on her face, she just knows this is the big moment.
I also love watching how each kid carefully nibbles his/her own cupcake differently.
Check it out, it's cousin Piper in the corner, isn't she getting big. We're so glad she and Christine happened to be in town for Ava's party.
Bounced exhausted by a happy day. Celebrated lovingly by family and friends. Hugs to you our big 4 year old girl.
And you to Hazy.
