San Diego Spring

Back in May we headed down to San Diego for a week to visit Grandma And Grandpa and stay at a condo our friend Carole had generously given us. The drive is rough but seems surprisingly better each time we do it and the girls did an excellent job with all the car time. It was great soaking up some hot weather and catching up with family and friends.

We spent a day out at the beach in La Jolla with the Gutkowski crew. Ava can never have enough Jasper and Annalise time (or enough beach time for that matter). We're looking forward to seeing them all up here in August too.

Hazel got her first proper introduction to Grandma and Grandpa's backyard swing. Perhaps we should rename it "The Tummy Tumbler". Needless to say she was quite pleased.

Yea, good times hanging out in the yard all around.

Ava happily made mud pies next to Grandpa's new pond while she waited her turn on the swing.

Yup, that's my girl again. So pleased she's not afraid to get dirty. I can just hear her saying "It's no big deal. We'll just put it in the laundry."

We celebrated all the spring birthday's in the family at once. Grandma, Daddy, Paris, Elijah and Ava all fall with 6 weeks of one another. Yes, there was a lot of candle blowing.

We headed out for a day at Sea World to check out all the animals and a few shows. Ava was quite impressed by the dolphin performance.

Daddy actually got to touch a dolphin.

And here's our own dolphin who was practically inseparable from the pool. We came directly home and signed up for swim lessons for our fearless girl.

And this one just thought it was the craziest bath time ever.
