Ava had a lovely Christmas, we all did. We were joined by "Unka-Kiss" or just "Unkiss" for short, who drove down from Idaho through all the terrible weather just to be with us. Ava had a great time soaking up her uncle and her new buddy Olive. We had some great food courtesy of Chris and lots of chilly walks courtesy of Olive. Ava was an absolute expert at opening presents, no mater who they were for. We were surprised and quite happy at the relative calm she had with each gift. She was both very patient and delighted by everything.

The sticky buns this year we're the best ever, no doubt. Chris would say this was because Mom wasn't there to burn them (sorry Ma).

So with a few new toys in the house we'll pack up some old ones and pass them on. The tree has already been put to the curb to lessen the clutter. We've had lots of evenings past Ava's bedtime running around with big kids (thanks Nicole & Nancy). We'll try to get the house and the day-to-day back to some sense of normalcy before we greet the New Year and head down to San Diego.

Thanks to everyone for your generosity. We have so much, including our family and friends, to be grateful for this year.
