Cabin Relaxin'

Over the weekend we rented a little house in Cazadero (Sonoma County) along the Austin Creek. Ava was over the moon at the place, saying "This is better than Mexico!" With giant redwood trees overhead, a babbling creek, fierce humming birds showing off, puzzles, card games and cozy fires she was in heaven. Sometimes the simplest experiences are truly the most rewarding. Even with Mama's cold and Ava's bout of hives we had a very relaxing time.

Daddy and Ava throwing nearly all the rocks from the creek bed into the water. A non-stop activity all weekend. Ava liked to find the biggest rocks and challenge Daddy to get them in the water with the most impressive splash.

Frog hunting... the poor critter was a good sport. Can you tell she liked it?

Don't worry, it's in Erik's hands. She didn't squish it.

Basking in the sun working on drawings. Our little starlit.

Mommy giving instruction on the proper way to enjoy breakfast in bed. I'm sure she'll be asking for this again - I know I will....

Cuddling and more cuddling.
