Backyard Fun

It's official, warm weather is here. Which means stripping down and getting wet in the backyard. We've actually been letting Ava take a warm outdoor shower instead of a bath at night which she LOVES. We also got a little pool for her to splash around in too. Although she likes the idea of turning it into a mud bath much better. We like to encourage her love of dirt but I don't know about spa treatments yet.


This also means picnics in the backyard, you know your basic chillin' and "good times" as Ava calls them. Listening to the woodpeckers and the sounds of our neighbors and maybe even sharing some homemade popcicles.


And the best part is sharing backyard fun with our friends. You all remember our dear friend Terri who we've known since she was 7. She's such a lovely young lady who will be a senior next year and has a been working what sounds like a coveted nursing internship at Children's Hospital in Oakland. We are immensely proud of her. These guys stopped by after visiting CAL Day at UC Berkeley.


Ava is completely smitten with Terri's boyfriend Shane and wants him for her own. What is it with Ava and teenage boys? They have a blast together, a serious giggle fest. Ava calls them "her best Terri and her best Shane".
