Sacagawea & Super Girl

So here's Ava in her little Sacagawea costume. A hand-me-down from a friend at work but none-the-less pretty dang cute. We headed out Halloween evening with our friends Laurie and Torin and their daughter Amelie, who was dressed up as Super Girl.

And what do 4 working parents do for diner on a Friday night? We ate burritos on the sidewalk and watched the show of costumes. Ava's clutching hers, in order to savor every last bite. She's already a connoisseur, our little California girl.

We left the carnage of beans and rice on the sidewalk (better than our dining room floors!) and headed down Russel St. in Berkeley very satisfied that we wouldn't be doing dishes. This street is known for it's beautiful houses and Halloween show. It was closed off for blocks, dressed up in all it's ghoulish (often clever) glory and a very friendly atmosphere. We'll check it out in years to come.
