I'm finally getting around to putting up our Christmas photos. Oh, and I had forgotten to post Thanksgiving in Tahoe so scroll down for that too.
We've been out of our routine the past few weeks dealing with the repairs on our new car, argh. Not easy to have it in the shop for over 2 weeks when we're a 1 car family with 2 kids. Lots of extra walks and bike rides in the rain. Did I mention it was a speeding unlicensed driver with bogus insurance, did I mention we don't have rental insurance? We were all fine and Hazel actually slept through the whole wreck. I think the poor driver may have been more frightened by a screaming Mama Bear than his totaled BMW... note to self, take a deep breath first.
Actually, it has forced us to slow down a bit, plan ahead and make due. It's good to have a reminder that we don't need to be so wrapped up in life with a car. We live in an urban environment so we're lucky but we'll walk out to a restaurant, walk to the store and just get the essentials, take the BART on an adventure, friends offer a hand and all is well in the simple radius around our house.
